DIY Video Mapping

During Multiplica visitors will have the opportunity to try their hand at video mapping thanks to a freely accessible installation.

But what is mapping in the first place? It’s a projection technology used to turn objects, often irregularly shaped, into a display surface for video projection. These objects may be buildings, walls, monuments, small indoor objects or theatrical stages. One of the most famous examples of mapping is when Buckingham Palace was turned into different kinds of buildings during Madness’s performance at Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.

For Multiplica we will work on more modest projection surfaces, but you will experience the same thrill of experimentation!
